"I didn’t check the reviews before I went to the Clinton Pl location and I’m glad I didn’t. Not sure of everyone else’s experience but mine was good for my first time there. Came in the door around 10:30 asked how much for medium knot less waist length braids and was told $160. I had two braiders and was out by 2:15ish. They weren’t rude and didn’t lie about the price or add extra for the hair. Braid quality is fair and I would go back. Big plus was a parking spot right in front. Could be that it was a Friday morning but I’m grateful for the positive experience. Had I read the reviews beforehand I would’ve skip on them which wouldn’t have been fair. Tried it and liked it."

"I had a last-minute trip out of town and needed my hair done after getting off work at 6 PM. I found DeeDee Braiding on Instagram and sent a text at 7:15pm asking if I could come in that night and by By 7:28 PM, I had already received a response with the address and was able to come in that same night. This level of customer service is amazing, especially since DeeDee Braiding provides 24-hour service. As soon as I walked in, everyone at the front greeted me warmly and made me feel welcome. I explained what I wanted done, and within five minutes, I was seated with a braider. Kiki is truly exceptional! She was professional from start to finish. She asked to see pictures and videos of the style I wanted and then directed me to their in-house hair provider, who helped me get the perfect hair for my boho braids. We started around 9:45 PM, and thanks to Kiki’s professionalism, efficiency, and incredible speed, she had me looking amazing and out the door by 1:00 AM. I highly recommend DeeDee Braiding, and I will definitely be returning. Thank you, Kiki, for making my last-minute appointment such a great experience!"

"SCAMMERS. Stay far away from this salon. I called the phone number listed on their Instagram at 9:00 AM to ask how much Fulani braids with French curls would cost. The woman on the phone told me $180, so I made the trip there based on that price. I arrived around 11:00 AM. As soon as I walked in, the braider on the left greeted me and asked to see the reference picture. I showed her exactly what I wanted and told her that I had called earlier and was quoted $180. She said that was fine and told me to sit and wait. She only had about four rows left on the client she was working on, so I assumed she would be doing my hair. I waited for over an hour. Around 12:00 PM, after finishing her client, she told me someone else would be doing my hair and that they were on the way. Since this salon advertises that they wash hair, I even started taking out my cornrows while I waited because I thought I was about to get started. Then, out of nowhere, she asked to see the picture again and took it over to who I believe was the manager. She came back and suddenly said, “No, no, no. This hairstyle is $250.” I was shocked. I told her, “I’ve been sitting here for over an hour. I told you when I got here that I was quoted $180, and you never said there was an issue.” If the price was actually $250, why wasn’t I told that the moment I walked in? Why let me sit there for over an hour before deciding to change the price? At that point I was so frustrated that I started crying. Instead of trying to explain the situation or resolve it, she simply walked away. When I went to talk to her again, she and the other braiders were laughing and joking while I was visibly upset. They made me feel completely embarrassed and disrespected. She told me to speak to the manager. The manager had witnessed the entire interaction because she was standing right there the whole time. Instead of taking responsibility, she just said, “When you came in, you didn’t talk to me. That’s the price.” I explained again that I had told the braider everything as soon as I arrived—that I had called beforehand, been quoted $180, showed my picture, and was told to wait. The manager just told me to call “DeeDee.” The same phone number I had called earlier either wasn’t being answered or no one would pick up. Meanwhile, the staff continued laughing and talking while I was trying to get an explanation. I walked out because I refuse to spend $250 at a business that treats customers with that level of disrespect. Whether the phone quote was a mistake or not, the professional thing to do would have been to tell me immediately when I arrived—not after making me wait for over an hour. The complete lack of accountability, the price switch, and the way they laughed at me while I was crying is unacceptable. I will never return, and I strongly recommend others take their business elsewhere"

"DON’T GO THERE ….they advertise braids for $160 when you go there , they do a totally different thing . The braids is trash I had an absolutely terrible experience at this braiding salon. The stylist started doing my braids extremely thin, which was not the style I asked for at all. To make matters worse, she dipped the hair in hot water while the braids were only halfway done, which is completely unprofessional. When I politely told her I didn’t like what she was doing to my hair and asked her to fix it, she started yelling at me. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she walked away from me and told me to finish my hair myself because she was tired. I was shocked. As a paying client, I deserve basic respect and professional service. I did not force anyone to do my hair I came to the salon expecting a proper service like any customer would. Now my braids are extremely thin and look very scanty, and I cannot even wear my hair like this. What made the experience even worse was the terrible management and lack of professionalism overall. A salon should never treat clients this way. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service or respectful treatment. Picture I attached attached was taken same day I got my braids ."
